I'll always remember going to the gme section with my mom, and you had to get the paper slip for the game you wanted so they could get it for you at the cash register. Good times...

I think so too because the KB was in the mall and the Toys R Us was its own store here... so I'd have to try and convince my parents to take me over there, whereas when you already in the mall it was a lot easier to step into the KBI actually went to Kay Bee Toys more than Toys R Us. Especially when that Xmas/BDay money came through

dad/mom take you to pizza hut unexpected then swing you by toy's r us or kmart to pick out a toy

I miss that shyt. A year before the last Toys R Us around me closed, I went through it just to see what was up. It wasn't the same as in the 90s cause kids want slightly different things, but the magic was there. I will go to my grave thinking fondly on that "I don't want to grow up" jingle and getting amazing gifts like the Spider-Man and Daily Bugle playset
There is a certain amount of joy that you can not reproduce as an adult that these toys deliver. Maybe having kids and seeing them play, but I have fond ass memories.
