I still think it's a powerful album, it's such a masterpiece imo... It combines the best of what hip-hop can provide, innovative production and intelligent, thematic bars.

It's not an easy listen, but I don't think that was Kendrick's intention. It's a rebellious album, he went the opposite direction everyone expected him to go... A lot of people thought he would sell-out further and cater to the radio, but he straight dropped an album complete with BrainFeeder instrumentation, weird flows, and political lyrics :mjlol:

He has a long and prosperous career ahead of him, I think he's absolutely brilliant and has the greatest grip of language out of every new MC I have heard out of this decade.

But I think the album is finally gaining traction now with Kendrick's newfound success with his visuals. Alright and For Free? are probably the best videos I have seen in a long time.

Props to this guy, he is the guy we should be :cape:for in the aftermath of Drake vs Meek

Still have it in my rotation weekly. The recent videos have sparked my love of the album all over again.

I find Kendricks music takes me me multiple listens to let in sink in. Like it took me around 5-6 spins of gkmc before I was just like :wow:

Same with TPAB. His music is very "dense" and it takes multiple listens to focus on each aspect, flow, production, lyrics before I can appreciate the full picure.

Which is just how I love my music. Almost all of my favourite albums across all genres are ones that took me repeated sessions.

I really appreciate his attention to his craft. Their isnt one thing on his albums that isnt created without a purpose.

And its awesome to see the album still charting and sellin consistently.

On that pount, gkmc is STILL charting as well. :wow:
