What's the difference between "checking in" and just having working/personal/street relationships with people in the city you're going? Does money exchange hands when you check in or is it just some chill in VIP with the star, pop his bottles with him, get the hanger on groupies type shyt?

Ever wonder why Lil Wayne at the height of his career was doing songs with bloods from LA no one outside of LA knew of at the time? Or why Waka Flocka was putting chains on guys like Joe Moses while also getting on their songs? There are better ways to make money than just having a 'check cut' sometimes....

And I mean yes, sometimes people just want to be cool and hang out with rappers. Just like the dope boys in NYC did with Rakim and them right?
