She was definitely throwing shots at Ebro when she said, "When I was the PD for 11 years, we never dropped from number 1 in the ratings on my watch" :mjpls:
she makes a good case though. #1 to #2 in only 2 months after she left.

Yea, it's true. Hot 97 had their highest ratings when Tracy was the program director from the late 90's to mid 00's. And by the time Star and Bucwild came around doing the morning show, they were leaving everybody in the dust. They were on an island on their own ratings wise for a long time.

but to be fair -
she benefitted from the single greatest era of hip hop history

Hot9 did decent numbers when they converted - at da time hip hop was being dominated by the west snoop, dre, ice etc...

  • late '93 wu debuted
  • then early/mid '94 nas debuted
  • then mid/late '94 BIG debuted
(1995 was when Hot9 went to overall number 1 and never looked back till mid '00s when power105 got on there feet)

no hate on her alwayz..... will have madd respect for her
but lets keep it 100 - any PD would have produce dem arbitrating ratings under that amount of music/artistic talent
