He dropped a lot of great songs after that album, Paradise, Love you better, Headsprung, Hush, Shake it baby, Take it etc.

He was the only rapper from his generation that was still reverent until Jay Z became president of Def Jam, then his album got :flabbynsick: promotion, if he got promoted better his musical reverence might have extended a bit longer.


Dude probably was aiming for being reverent for the longest period of time in Hip Hop history, since so many rappers have such short careers, although Jay Z and Nas are giving him a run for his money.

I agree with what you're saying - but I wouldn't have used the bolded songs to make my point. I mean, those cuts you listed are weak. So was "Freeze". 'Member that chit? It was so bad it was good.

But he has had some bangers since GOAT.
