Spoiler Act 2 Van Part 2
Van tried his hardest to let her down easy and deep down she knew it was coming but she persisted anyway. I don't ever know if I've seen a protagonist shoot a girl down so hard.

In the middle of cold steel III. Like mentioned, all the talking is brutal. It took me 2 years to beat part II. Honestly, I don‘t even know why I’m playing these games. When the game allows you to play, it‘s enjoyable.

to be fair part 2 of cold steel is consider by most to belong at the bottom of the entire trails series bottom 3 for sure........its not just the talking the game was a filler by all metrics

The Rean and Kevin routes are fairly short. They have less side quest and are mostly focused on the major plot reveals. The Van route is way longer and a slower advancement of the story. Because of this in Act 1 you get a Kevin route but not another route of him until Act 3.

I’m starting to get the feeling Daybreak 2 was a bit more important than I gave it credit for because on a smaller scale I think it laid the groundwork for what we may get to see full blown here. Haven’t gotten far enough to know if I’m right so it’s just a theory.

Damn,and I had a feeling it did too and it wasn't as bad or as plot empty as some folks were saying in their reviews and it Reddit.

Like i said it definitely wasn't nearly as bad as cold steel 2.. the garden master was a bit underwhelming but the island arc too me was peak the quatre reveal,ix and Jorda etc..

Finally they give some answers as to what the hell is going on.

This game like most of the Trails games went bonkers in the final hours. About to fight the final boss and no way in hell did I see that coming. It's clear there won't be a satisfactory ending here because of how events are playing out.

No spoilers here:

Having beat this game that ending was like peak Trails fuckery. A lot of the game especially in Van's route is slow then in the finale everything starts happening all at once. To give Falcom's credit they do explain quite a bit but where the game ends they just leave you with no idea where the series will go from there. They literally give you nothing. People weren't BSing it's a brutal cliffhanger. It's not as abrupt as say Cold Steel III but it's impact is just as brutal.

On to act two,am seeing a little bit of transhumanism,a.i and other shyt from secret societies...since the first game honestly but seems that all the shyt from reverie is gonna be brought into this game even more...

After beating this I decided to loop back and play the Cold Steel series again. Had to dig out my PlayStation Vita TV and upload my Cold Steel and 2 saves. I never even finished Cold Steel 2 past the divestment so I have to finish the epilogue to get a new game+ save to start it again.

The level of voice acting in the beginning of Cold Steel is extensive compared to the Daybreak games. So far most of the main story in the prologue is voiced. Maybe budget constraints had them cut down on voiced lines.
