Trails Beyond the Horizon coming Jan 2026 (PS5, PC, Switch)

So I just got into my first Trails game with this In The Sky Remake and it's actually pretty stellar. My only niggling complaint and question for others that have played the rest of the series is do they ever get to a point where they just stop mixing no audio cutscenes with voiced scenes? I'm fine with either when they are appropriately done, but them having 1 person fully audio at the rest just text is so jarring and weird.

Nope. That’s Falcom’s way of cutting costs.

Cold Steel 1 and 2 fixed that, by adding in new voices lines for the English dub, thanks to Xseed.

But after Nisa localised the games, it went back to normal..

I'm playing through FC and so far I'm liking it, but cotdamn they love to talk in this game. And I'm somebody who likes story heavy games.

Also not sure about this random bisexual Sanji that just inserted himself into the party dude is hella annoying already

This is such fukking nonsense, I've played like 5 hours of one of these and I'm pretty convinced they could condense these shyts into 2 games max each.

At least with FF most of the games were trying new things or story lines.

Asking someone to spend 250 dollars to get the full story of one of these is hilarious.

The developers did not do a good job telling the story. I have no confidence they can wrap this up in a satisfactory way either but I'm here for it regardless.

I thought the ongoing "epic", oft MCU compared saga of a story was most the lauded over thing,over all things else in these games by ya'll Dweeabos.

The developers did not do a good job telling the story. I have no confidence they can wrap this up in a satisfactory way either but I'm here for it regardless.

The problem starts with Cold Steel and beyond.

It's telling that they would rather remake the sky games, than carry on the Calvard arc. Even the writers burnt out.

I thought the ongoing "epic", oft MCU compared saga of a story was most the lauded over thing,over all things else in these games by ya'll Dweeabos.

Consider Cold Steel 4/Reverie the Infinity War/Endgame of the saga and the games after that phase 4-5 MCU.

Granted I'm still in the early chapters of Daybreak. But I do like Van. Don't think he's well liked in Japan compared to Estelle and Rean though.

I'm too far into the trails train to hop off.

After the Calvard arc. The should try to condense these games into a duology.

This is low-key happening to the Yakzua series as well.

If it takes you four FOUR separate games to tell your continuous story you fukked up and or milking it.

They seem to get away with this because poor indie company, but I am huge adversary to "not respecting your time" and that seems to be the modus operandi of this developer whole steez

Yakuza 8 goes on and on on..too much stuff to do that's pointless...these smaller developers trying to squeeze out every Penny.

Just started beyond horizon,man the first thing they do after a brief fighting section is more talking to everyone...lol I do hate the fact when a character from the last game shows up or when the reminisce on an even a few months old they refuse to say the name of the person..smh it's so annoying 90% of the time i know who it is nikka, they were with me in the final dungeon .. it's not a mystery, and no new player should be playing horizon anyway
