This has kind of escalated like rap beef.

I remember when Rowling first commented on the matter. There was a lot more nuance and grace.

You can tell that she took the rape threats to heart. It went from "I disagree and am apprehensive about the implications" to "this is just men doing what they always do".

I will say that the trans community needs to go back to the drawing board. It's clear at this point that they've overplayed their hand. I think that they got a little bit greedy in their attempt to sink Rowling. They made an powerful and influential enemy, and it kind it got more people to consciously draw the line.
