Transformers and G.I. Joe Crossover Movie Is Officially Happening - IGN

Following a tease during the ending of Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Paramount has officially confirmed at CinemaCon 2024 that a Transformers and G.I. Joe crossover movie will be released in theaters in 2025 or 2026.

While we didn't learn anything else about the movie, it was confirmed that Steven Spielberg will be an executive producer on the project and Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Mark Vahradian, Michael Bay, Tom DeSanto, and Don Murphy will serve as producers.

"Alien V Predator", "Freddy V Jason", "Batman V Superman". "Kong Vs Godzilla". Why not G.I. Joe/Transformers?? "Rise of Beast" really set up a crossover nicely honestly.

I like the idea on paper but here's the issue: They haven't made a good G.I. Joe movie yet.... why not try to make an actual good movie for that franchise first instead of pushing this out there?

Transformers, Duke and Cobra Commander are part of the Energon Universe. The comics are dope. The story is tied together real dope. I don’t think it will translate well into movies because the story is rather immersive, but I think it would be dope if they give it a shot
