Rigid views of masculinity/femininity are why these parents feel they need safe spaces for their kids who probably get clowned at a "regular" camp. If my son wanted to wear dresses and shyt I wouldn't try to stop em. I'll have to teach them how to box for their own well being, but that kid would throw the meanest jab of any gender fluid kid on recess.
The hardest part of being one of these parents would be teaching your kid to be assertive without being a "snowflake". Expect people to not understand, but show them respect...until that's not an option.

I feel you. I read the article and the interviews.
A lot of the parents were against it, but after years of fighting it they just decided to take a different approach and found success with these types of camp.
Basically, in the end, they decided it was better to be supportive of their children.

I don't have much of a problem with people being gender-neutral, to an extent. I disagree with all the different labels, especially when it comes to small children. Keep that shyt simple; they are either a boy or girl. Don't use them to make a fukkin statement. Let childrens lives be SIMPLE. A pre-k child cannot be transgender, period.
