Why don't transgendered people ignore the dysphoria and not get the surgery? Can other life distractions work? Is it like being addicted to hardcore drugs and you need that fix? really tryna understand it.
A lot of times people get it done for other people. They wanna wear things where a print won't show or will show so it won't gross out other people. They don't want to "confuse" people. They want to be considered more "REAL" and valued. Those people think that getting the srs will make their lives more aligned and easier. Which in some ways it will. But what use is it getting a p*ssy when people can still tell that you were born male? You're still gonna get humiliated in the streets/in public, people gonna still call you a man even with it done, men will still reject you. It's not a be all end all and many think it is.
You still will have to find a man who is open minded toward it. Men won't always just be ok with it because you don't have a dikk.

It must be done FOR YOU and only for you. You have to be content in your decision so much that if you were to be alone forever, you can live with your new genitalia. You have to be content with people still disrespecting you in public, using wrong pronouns because they clocked you. This is why some regret getting the surgery because it doesn't fix everything and sometimes it can make you feel worse if you're still getting treated like shyt before the surgery.
