I'll say this though...if you a rapper and can't spit over a boom bap beat...get the fukk out the game for real. That's the proving ground for real rappers IMO.

Trap beats, these rappers be throwing they asses out with double time, triple time, quadruple time flows. And that shyt all originated from the South and the Midwest for the most part. Some of these dudes be wasting these good ass beats with some garbage ass see and spell lyrics.

Why are you guys upset lol. Hip hop evolves and that's a great thing. Boom bap was good but trap just sounds more clean to me. Trap beats can touch your soul just by the drums. Boom bap is only hot based on the sample they've stolen used. Boom trap though :blessed:

the modern era 808s and heavy bass is why more entertaining then the old school dusty snare heavy boom bap sound
imo the soul sample era is the goat
i hate to say it but ill take a lex luger beat over a rza beat....fukk it...and im from that era....I dont care what all the old dudes got to say
I like both,

But I have noticed that rappers, when asked to freestyle, do better on claasic boom bap beats compared to these new Trap/Drill beats...

A rapper who works on his craft, will spit iller on "CREAM" rather than "BMF"...

This is just something I have noticed...

I'm trying to give this thread the benefit of the doubt, even though I already know Boom Bap destroys what you refer to as today's trap beats......................BUT THIS BULLSHIIT is YOUR BEST EXAMPLE......... :laff: :laff: :laff:

Certain trap beats are cool but they are repetitive meaning they use the same sounds over and over again. Now you can make "soul" music in hip hop without sampling. Just learn some chords or find the sound kits for those instruments used in the 60s-80s.

But certain trap beats are cool and fun to listen to. It doesn't have to be either or. Why can't we enjoy both? I enjoy both! This is why we never come together as people. It's always gotta be either or with you idiots

Breh, boom bap beats are easier to flow on because most of them are simple..some of the modern trap beats have unpredictable drums therefore the rapper has to perfect his flow to sound properly on the track
