I can't fukk with most trap beats, the track is too slow and the hi hats are too fast - combined with sub-par 'rapping' make it REAL hard to listen to.

not saying trap is trash -- I'd rather just listen to this :yeshrug:

Yall saying trap beats are repetitive and have no soul - youre either ignorant or a "real "hip-hop fan...Listen to Drumma Boy, Zaytoven...if you still saying that , you clearly dont give a fukk / just hating / not bothering to listen.I can ALWAYS tell the difference between Lex,Metro,Mike Will, TM88, Young Chop etc.Repetitive ? Using same sounds ? Every producer has his style.Dre uses similar/same sounds, Timbaland as well. What about that ?

I'll admit I really don't have any patience with most trap rap, it does soudn EXTREMELY repetitive to me and it doens't help that a lot of rappers are hot trash...now edm trap beats, I rock with a lot of those, precisely because there aren't illiterates yapping 'bout "3 hunna" or whatever bs passes for "lyrics"

but boom bap is still better imo

I'll put it like this. G-funk, Crunk, Hyphy, Bounce, Bass etc have all come and went. Only one style has stood the test of time.

In 5 years from now, I can guarantee you no one will be making trap beats. Boom Bap is an art form that will continue to be created.

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster

as homage to the fore fathers, i'll leave the boom bap out of this.

But as far as soul samples and trap beats... with a east coast mc.
