J Cole suffers from choosing kinda boring beats. I like that "Rich nikkaz" song, but the beat is so underwhelming it leaves something to be desired.

exactly. i'm trying to figure out an appropriate situation to even throw born sinner on. it's like something you would listen to on a brisk hike. lmao.

as for the album debate i'd take trap lord, i think it balances wavy beats w/ hard hitting trap beats. not to mention the production is superb, and ferg has an interesting flow

just because he aint writing corny ass lines like cole doesn't mean he not saying shyt. cole more lyrical than jeezy, but jeezy is better. same shyt different artist.

Wait. You saying these songs aren't borning?

With the exception of Villematic, Let Nas Down, and Runaway...cole is just spitting struggle bars on weak production just meandering around until his verse ends.

Its mediocre. He can rap...its just not engaging at all.

J Cole has an identity crisis.

right on. i don't think it's dumb. i can ride to this ferg or just have it on while i'm chillin in the crib, lounging. plus i've had more fun actually just sitting and listening to this shyt than cole's album. and i can fukk to TL, too. born sinner is the type of joint i would have to be in a more meditative kinda mood to play front to back, if that makes sense. i've got to really listen to cole if i want to enjoy it. i like the kid but it's kinda like his fellow north cackalackans, little brother. they just have an heir about them that is 'too cool' for some situations. imo, at least.

nikkas can't really say Jeezy ain't lyrical these days either. Jay Jenkins has definitely stepped his quotables up.
