exactly. its already jumped the shark. how much time does it have left since its had more than 1 #1 single, and you have teenage suburbans dabbing. it's about as cool as country music.

Exactly. I swear the shyt is like contagious. The thing that kills me about trap is that it's not pleasant on the soul. It drains the living shyt out of you when you constantly bump the tunes. There's no substance, no value, or anything. I tried bumping this new wave called "future sound", and it was just trap with a higher pitch of melody. I miss the days where r and b was strictly soothing with a bit of hard tracks far and between. Nowadays, it's either getting fukked up, sexed up, or both:beli:.

Shyts demonic and puts me in a bad mindset and overall mood. The content and the music go hand in hand. Its damn near impossible to rap about anything other than violence, drugs, etc over those type of beats.

This gospel song over a trap beat doesn't FEEL right to me:

Gospel and trap beats should remain as far away from each other as possible. They're polar opposites of each other. One is meant to uplift your spirit while the other is meant to destroy it.

:martin: of course. but nikkas been asking when will it die for a long as time time now :yeshrug: and as long as there's dealers and users and ppl entertained by the fukkery there will always be an audience
I agree that there will probably be people making these style of beats for the next 50 years. But it will be a niche audience like boom Bap today. The mainstream hip hop sound will move to something else. Probably by 2020.
