Point me to a good sports bar for after the superbowl fun!![]()
sports bar? why the hell would you go to a sports bar when you're in new orleans? i know a few but, geez, don't do that to yourself. all you'll be doing is looking at tv screens. you really wanna go to a sports bar though? or is that just something you were thinking about doing?
i never travel
been in the hood for ever lol
only places i been is NY, CT, DMV & Philly
Well we arent actually going to the game so we wanted to watch the game at a sports bar with other fans. Of course, we are going to be down there for 5 days so please tell me other things to do while there.

for the sports bars you've got walk ons (but i imagine it's going to be busy as fukk there because it's right down the street from the super dome
Google Maps
then you've got the stuff in fulton street like manning's
Manning's - Warehouse District - New Orleans | Urbanspoon
they've got a few other places on fulton street but i'm more familiar with manning's because i played a few gigs there last year for the final four. but if you want to be outside the cbd and in the quarter, the only place i've been to is huck finn's on decatur.
Huck Finn's New Orleans | New Orleans Restaurant & Sports Bar in The French Quarter
then you've got maison frenchmen in the marigny. it's not a sports bar technically but they've got the place set up with more than enough screens to watch the game. plus, it probably won't be too busy, plus after the game you'll see me playing
The Maison - Live music venue, restaurant & bar in New Orleans, Louisiana
it'd be much easier to tell you places to go if i knew where you were staying. the places i'm recommending are close to me or close to the action (which means it'll probably be difficult getting to those bars).
you guys aren't staying out in metairie are you? you're in orleans parish right?
Hey! I'm staying in the marigny area. I'll definitely hit up the club you'll be at and say hi. Thanks for the info.
For food places I jotted down Zea Rotisserie and Jacques Imo's Cafe, any other suggestions?
that stuff (zea, jacques) is all uptown so i'd suggest you go there before the game on another day just so you don't have to go across town just to get something to eat while dealing with gameday traffic. since you're in the marigny, there's a shyt ton of stuff you can check out on frenchmen street. i'm always down there because i live about 6 blocks away plus i play down there often. there's a few restaurants to check out down there too like adolfo's or you can even go to snug harbor and eat. it just depends on what you want. there's also a shyt ton of places to eat in the bywater as well, all within a decent walking distance...
Get out there, man. It's a big world (hell, it's a big ass COUNTRY), see as much of it as possible.
