Quite a few travelers on the coli.

What are some foods that taste better in other countries in your opinion?
Or what foods blew you away during your travels?

My mom says tomatoes taste way better in DR.
I notice the difference in eggs in DR.

Best fried chicken I've ever had was in Tokyo. :ehh:

Best burger was in Peru. :manny:

Also, best paella was in Peru :banderas:

I'm not going to cosign the bolded, but I will say that the fried chicken in the Tokyo 7-11s are so much better than they have any right to be :noah:

Ethiopian food in DC is :ohlawd: There's a place close to Howard…I forgot the name, so I guess that was useless lol.

But i've had it homemade…:noah: I guess that doesn't count.

Chicken masala would be italian...indian food is hella spicy, lots of curry dishes and they have this garlic flat bres that you dip everything in. It can be mild to if you request that...but once you eat it curry will be oozing out of your pores for days lol.

From what I heard ethiopian food is likea mix of mushy stuff that you pick up with this flat bread they have. Heard it was aquired taste, just hope im not starving when I do eat tonight, in case I dont enjoy it.

Well my brother works for Air Canada, so I was able to do Tokyo that way.
Peru happened because a different brother got married and they had a 2nd reception in Peru for her family that couldn't make it to the States.
DR is easy because I have family out there.

Will probably do DR again in February because I've never been during the Independence Day. And because February is a great time to see Humpback whales off the coast of Samana. That seems like a cool thing to do. Plus Samana is just a beautiful city. I went there in 2011. There's Cayo Levantado (an island resort nearby). And they have these beautiful colorful houses/restaurants on the coast...
