Supporters of this stuff won’t even admit Rowling is being threatened and it’s bad. There’s a movement of these people and other leftists who simultaneously believe language/ideology is violence while advocating actual violence against those who dare disagree with them. They want Rowling to be scared into silence by violence, and probably would celebrate her murder. Because the greater good (trans people not being harassed) is worth a woman being killed. It’s madness.

That's the problem with making drag queens the vanguard of your movement. Their whole life is performance; it's good for a spectacle here and there, but eventually the goofy names and outlandishness is just dismissed as an aberration from actual society--a freak show--and nothing changes. This is aside from the fact that the trans movement picks the absolute worst fights i.e. entertainers/creators with the biggest cultural cachet, and conducts said fights in the worst possible way.
