I get that. But what I'm saying is we're saying they're generational talents 5 years into their NFL career. Who would have none these guys would be HOFamers as opposed to Braylon Edwards or Charles Rogers.

What did these guys do different in college from those 2 for you to say that this guy is going to be a HOFamer or a generational player as someone stated.

Is Julio Jones or AJ Green a generational player. Why or Why Not.

Drafting is a crap shoot. Defense wins championships but skilled positions make the plays and that's why all teams will roll the dice on drafting the next gamebreaking player at RB/WR.

You see I didn't mention QB and its for a reason. You get the least return on your QB in the initial stages.

talking about draft/college wise man. Damn bruh you never heard someone say such and such is a once a generation type of player. It's some guys when they come there skill set is so unique and potential is so high they just make other players drafted in the past seasons seem mundane.

And AJ Green was a once or twice a decade type of talent for his type of WR look at the body of work, production, and combine results for him. Julio Jones was talented but injury prone and had a case of the drops.

No Richardson wasn't a generational talent. He was the best RB in a bad year for RB's. :manny: the guys you listed were generational talents.

Calvin Johnson (size, speed, ability), Andre Johnson (speed, elusive, catching), Fitzgerald (come on he was a beast). What does or did Richardson do other then be on Alabama run behind there talented line and be short and stocky with mid-range speed for a RB?

Tell me what Richardson excels at that a RB each and every draft doesn't also excel at? his strength, speed, catching ability, toughness, durability, big play ability what?

OK. That's fine. I'm neutral on T-Rich, but a lot of scouts/analyst(people who get payed to analyze prospects for a living) praised his ability. Therefore, in a lot of professional's eyes, he has the goods to turn around a franchise. And that is the same thing scouts were saying about a lot of other skilled players in the first round.

Some panned out, some didn't, but the bottom line is this is mostly a crap shoot until they've been in the league for 3-5 years. Fitz was a beast at Pitt but so was Roy Williams at Texas. Kind of see what I mean.

yes. I agree the draft is a crap shoot. I'm just saying if you are going to roll the dice on a rb or wr they need to have that "it".

To be quite frank, I've been watching football for over 20 years and only in the last 6-8 years have I heard the media throw that phrase around. Its all part of a marketing ploy to sensationalize an incoming player and sell tickets.

Anybody who knows dikk about football knew Cam was gonna do well, but did anyone call him a once in a lifetime player before he took a snap?

But I've bet you've heard about Andrew Luck being a "can't miss" prospect though right. What about Moss up in Marshall. Chad Pennington owe half his entire NFL salary to that nikka because that's who got him drafted.

Any cat that saw Moss play knew he was a "can't miss" talent but did the media regard him in that light?

All I'm saying is, they put a spotlight on and big up who they want to for ratings and ticket sales and not necessarily because they got game.

With that being said, who knows what T-Rich will do. He may just turn out to be a franchise player after all

Yes I have heard Luck was a can't miss prospect. In fact the best QB prospect since Manning. And also no one has knocked him being the 1st pick.

Any cat that saw Moss play knew he was a "can't miss" talent but did the media regard him in that light? Fans and people knew he was a physical beast.

All I'm saying is, they put a spotlight on and big up who they want to for ratings and ticket sales and not necessarily because they got game.

If I'm a GM I still do not take T-Rich with a Top 10 pick in the draft. Would i have taken AD hell yeah I would of. Would i have taken Bush yes I would have. Not all the talents turn into stars but I can at least argue about why i would of taken Bush.

T-Rich will be lucky to have the career of Cedric Benson. Mark this.

T rich sucks and was overrated playing in Bama you would have thought after seeing mark ingrham being the fourth best back on the time that crimson tide backs have been overrated since when.

Doug Martin will be a better back than Richardson. Richardson gonna be Curtis enis 2.0
