Ariza made 180 3's last year at a 41% clip...

If Deng had that in him then the Bulls wouldn't have got rid of him...

the bulls got rid of him, cuz $13M is too much to pay for a 3rd option offensively who can't create his own shot. given that ariza has the same limitation in his game, I don't see him being worth $12M himself.

So you agree with Reinsdorf's fiscal sensibilities

:obama:

Miami paid their 3rd offensive option 19 million btw.. But I guess that's why they made 4 straight finals appearences while Reinsdorf was padding his pockets

These owners are worth billionaires of dollars because of their business acumen, but can't grasp this simple concept when it comes to their basketball team

Most of them think of it as a hobby. And we know how even regular people throw crazy amounts of money at their hobbies.

Ariza has had a very interesting career...

Was pretty much an athletic nobody...hit a few big shots for the lakers in their 2009 run...then cashed in and got overpaid...

Beal comes of age...Wall comes of age...he is asked to do nothing but play defense, which he can do, and hit open shots...Wiz make the playoffs and at age 29 he is somehow about to get overpaid again

I knew the Parsons deal was going to blow everything out the water though...i can only imagine what Lance is asking for now

Wiz are better off rolling the dice with Porter, that's way too much for Ariza considering Gortat and Nene make a ton.
Shame too because Nene is always injured.

Ariza has always been an interesting case...even when he started out on the Knicks I used to watch him and say...shyt if he works on his game like crazy he can become unstoppable on offense. I STILL remember that dunk on Ben Wallace

Is Ariza gonna give half of that to Wall? :stopitslime:

Because without him he's not getting that many open looks from 3.

P.G.

This entire thread is Exhibit A of why I was saying all year how dumb and shortsighted it was for them to sit Otto all in the name of making the playoffs. He could've easily played 15 minutes a night backing up Ariza, with Webster being the primary backup for Beal and they still would've made the playoffs and still lost in the ECSF. Now, they really have no idea what they have in Otto while the price for Ariza is rising by the minute.

Good.
