There's a lot truth in what he said. The dating game today is about looking cool and trying to impress everybody but the person you're with. People only want to be in a relationship with someone that has it all already. They don't want to actually build a healthy and sustainable relationship. They want to plug themselves into the lives of people that have all the material possessions. Once they get tired of that person, or meet someone with more material possessions they break up and move on to the next person. It's sad.
At least our parents had relentless oppression, the crack epidemic/ fallout, having kids too young and economic devastation as reasons why their relationships didn't work out. What will our generation tell our kids about why our relationships failed? Instagram? The Club? The "bytches/nikkas ain't shyt" mentality? It's crazy when you think about it.
