I don't rock with TJ like that but I hope he keeps at it same with Kendrick NYC been soft for a like a decade.

NY is on the other extreme end of the spectrum. They make songs about hustling 24/7 and about running the streets. There hasn't been balance since the late 80s. Meanwhile, the lyrical dudes that are about balance (Cole, K. Dot) are running the rap game on the low. People been exposed to stereotypes all around the board, that they frown upon a normal minded dude these days. That is a mental dysfunction I need to go on for another thread on Higher Learning.

That's absolutely not the reason imo..that's a generalization..also..look at the popular rappers in the game ASIDE from the nikkas u mentioned..they rap about all that shyt..from Ross..to Meek..etc etc..NY won't break our own artists..even ASAP Rocky said he didn't break in NY..he had to go somewhere else.. And he don't rap bout that shyt..it's less about the subject matter and more about politics..like I said..aside from Kendrick and Cole..mainstream rap ain't about shyt and hasn't been about shyt for a while..so that's not an excuse for nikkas shutting NY out like the most popular rappers out of the south for the last half a decade ain't been on that Trapping..ignorant shyt..son the most popular beats right now is "Trap" beats..think about it..
