I just dont understamd the Trinida James hate. His haters give him more attention than his fans do. And the sad shyt is dude really does have some talent, some of yall too focused on his outward appearance(and at the same time exposing your own prejudices). Its a shame how brainwashed some of u are

tired of these wanna be A&R internet journalists who keep telling us all this important "he needs to do this to sell, and be friends with so and so, and do x y z in this industry, so you cant hate him you have to support that"

and I dont give a fukk bout neither. either you argue youre liking his music or not, then keep it moving. keep all that junior accountant shyt out of it, and talk about the music, bottomline. everyones such a follower these days, talkin about the clubs play it, the block loved it, so and so who is famous plays it at his parties ... :mjpls:

and they stay on the web talking about why the next man loves it, so you should too. doesnt even realize their arguing over someone elses pockets, someone elses tastes, and the good of another mans business that they may or may not even enjoy. smh

i feel you when you say it should only be about the music but then again that's what the mad rappers talk about even in their music (meaning they talk about the industry within their music every other song).

and she was saying some real shyt at the end of the day. I say these rappers need to stop bytching in interviews as well as in their music, make songs and let it do what it's suppose to do. if they want it to sell more, plan better.

the artists do bytching when they dont succeed, and the wannabe A&Rs stay cosigning and pushing the company line for everything that went wrong due to current sales climate/politics. steady running behind the talk of first week numbers and what everyone else thinks is hot. then the fans mimmick the same talk. its such a sheep like mentality. both are opposite sides of the same coin. both ignore the music and look more at the artists money, which is pathetic. its just music to you and me. so all of this hype and talk about playing the game, and how you should applaud someone who does, versus someone who is talented and you enjoy listening to, is played. on both ends. I think this era of armchair record moguls needs to go away.

I dont want all the rappers to be business savvy, if dude is dope on the mic, keep it real with himself and have some hot shyt im gonna bump. I like what A$ap responded to when he was asked about what he thought of his album leaked that early "that is the labels problem not mine, I just keep making hot music". Thats how it basically should be, make hot music and your fans will follow and let the label, agents and manager worry about all the business aspects

She's right. 100%. I've been saying this for years. nikkas mimic then wonder why they aint getting signed, nikka you sound just like TI there is already a TI.

I can't help but go through youtube to listen to instrumentals only to see 'Kanye type beat' 'Young Chop type beat' you think that's going to get you gigs?????? How do you think someone like Clams Casino got big so quick, he had his own swag and style and people and he pushed it, at first people don't like different but it just takes 1 artist (notice I said ARTIST) to see the vision and both of you will blow and be the next. even the next trend setter. People need to stop trying to be the next man, stop being afraid of being different, and be wolves not sheep. Flow about something different, flow on a beat thats different, do something out original. then sharpen and perfect it. that's how you get noticed, being a wolf, not sheep.

nikkas always taking the safe already tested route. they're either afraid or uncertain of themselves, or just plain not an actual artist and just thinking about money. GTFO

ultimately, Drake, Soulja Boy, 2chainz, Lady Gaga, and Justin Beiber aren't stopping you from becoming successful. so why even focus on them and how wack their music is. Even if radio stops playing their shyt, they STILL won't play yours...

if you're talented at making music then you will succeed at making good music. If you're talented in business and marketing, then you will succeed at making money. If you want both, then you have to be talented at both or make strategic alliances with people who complement whatever you're lacking. The next man's success or failure has nothing to do with you. The label is free to sign who they want and support who they want. just like you're free to not sign with them. again, most people play "armchair A&R" because the artist who claim "it's not fair, i'm more talented than _______" keep talking about it in their music. If they stopped talking about it and just focus on making good music and good business, then the best at both aspect would succeed and everything falls into place.

maybe the reason i don't feel like buying MC Lyrical's album is because 3/4ths of the songs are about how he's underrated and how he should sell more than ______. it's really a slave mentality. Why do people expect majors to :cape: them? why do some rappers feel so entitled to fortune and fame? chances are you're music is doing exactly what it's suppose to do. and that goes for anything in life. Same thing with nice guys complaining about not getting bytches. same thing about people complaining about being broke even though they work hard as fukk. Chances are you're exactly where you should be in life. It's not just about how talented and hard-working you are. it's also about who you know, how you strategize and what you choose to focus on.so if people keep bytching, they should expect a reply. as Clint Eastwood famously once said,

I don't understand why rappers haven't figured out that this is the attention whore generation...so make sure you stand out
