HHH also has more to lose, which is why he needs to try and do a better job of getting his booking back on the right track. One job with a wife and 3 kids to support versus a guy who has 3 other jobs, no kids, and enough money to live well enough for likely the rest of his life. Triple H better lock in cuz imagine him having to find employment elsewhere.
And don't think that there aren't a number of people behind the scenes that are more in tune with what'll work today. HHH's vision is not only outdated but his newer stuff is corny. He uses all of Vince's worst traits but none of the smart business ones.

I was thinking about it last week and it be hilarious to see a Triple H character introduced into The Office. One of you smart AI creating motherfukkers should do that. If only Sora wasn't an Apple only product, those fukkers. Imagine Triple H working at Dunder Mifflin after leaving WWE and causing all sorts of fukkery and trying to book wrestling matches between the employees like Jim and Dwight instead of doing his actual job. Calling up customers not trying to sell some paper but sell tickets to a random wrestling event in the buildings parking lot.

The funniest shyt is seeing stans on both sides not realize that these guys are exactly alike. I actually give Tony more of a pass because he's just a fan that owns a promotion. HHH is a 30+ year vet that clearly hasn't learned a damn thing.

They basically the same booker. But like you said TK only been doing this for 5 to 6 years whereas Triple h was a Cokeboy understudy with 25 plus years of Ring talent and a loaded roster that the WWE haven't seen since 2003... No excuses for the WWE being this bad

He made $5m in bonus money when the merger became official, and who knows how much stock he owns. His pockets would be fine if they canned him, his ego and pride would take the hit.

Realistically if he wasn't secure they wouldn't let him be all up in the videos the way he is, I'm sure Ari Emmanuel has an idea of what the job was like for Vince and we know people like Rock/Nick Khan do on a firsthand basis - a lot is an understatement.

If someone like Brian Gewirtz wanted the role it would be his already but why would he want it? Even when Vince went public and technically had to answer to shareholders at the end of the day no one could really tell him anything and he did as he pleased, obviously the same for Khan and his company. The current structure of that role for WWE is being a glorified suit with less power and more pressure.

This explains so much.

I get what he's saying but the problem is that his stories suck. He's also basically admitting that if you don't have a story then he has nothing for you. Imagine WCW without the cruiserweight division and the early 2000s WWE without the tag division. Does this idiot not understand that you need both stories and matches to survive?

Stories that resonate? :dahell:

Maybe for kids when they tell each other, I'll see you at the playground after school for the fight like wrestlers tell others they'll see them at the ppv. Cuz I never told another grown ass man, meet me in the ring this coming Saturday night where I'll prove to you that I'm the best. :birdman:

Imagine going to work and coworkers like why you acting so different and you tell em it's cuz I'm a heel now. :mjlol:

Triple H's argument falls flat on its face when you realize that the matches are the only redeeming quality of his run at the moment. What stories are resonating with people? Look at the women's triple threat at Mania this year. Amazing match, terrible story and both Bianca and Rhea came out of it worse off. It's like the inverse of Vince, where he could sell you on a match when he cared to, but the match itself could potentially be mediocre.

The product is only enjoyable because the in-ring performances are at an all-time high. Most of the time, matches barely have any decent build, so what the hell is Triple H talking about?
