honestly shyt was dumb why would the fans pick cody over rock/cena combo maybe for a few weeks but they would always turn and pick rock/cena
if cena was gonna turn it shouldve been something different without the rock like " i dont have it anymore so i gotta cheat to get #17" that made more sense especially after losing the rumble and all his other Ls in singles matches instead he came out to shyt on the crowd for no reason

I would ask Cena what his thoughts are on the heel run, but he would probably say the following:
"You know, that's interesting. I still have a lot of curiosity about being a performer, pushing the envelope creatively. It's hard to say whether or not the heel era was a failure because it was my opportunity to push the intellectual property into a place where nobody had ever seen it explored. I don't know if it was appropriate to do it at a time where the audience I had built for years was ready to embrace me fully, the character fully as it was about to be retired. Better men can answer that question, but it was worth the attempt nonetheless."
