The Golden State Warriors entered halftime of Saturday's Western Conference showdown against the Oklahoma City Thunder trailing by 11 points, and frustration reportedly set in as the defending champions took their seats in the locker room at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

According to ESPN sideline reporter Lisa Salters on the ABC broadcast, Warriors forward Draymond Green went on a "profanity-laced tirade" following a shaky first-half showing:

I did not hear what precipitated it, but he was yelling so loudly that I could hear everything that he was saying. I think you heard a little bit of it as well, Mike [Breen]. I think that it was Draymond Green. The indications that I've gotten from other players is that it was Draymond Green.

He was yelling and screaming, 'I am not a robot. I know I can play. You have me messed up right now. If you don't want me to shoot, I won't shoot the rest of the game.' At one point, people were trying to get him to sit down, from what I could hear, and he was daring people, threatening people, 'Come sit me down.'

During Monday's edition of First Take, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith reported the outburst stemmed from Warriors head coach Steve Kerr pointing out a mistake Green made:

Kerr responded to Smith's report, telling reporters that he "didn't notice [Smith] in the room."

Green went scoreless in the first half, which represented a continuation of some slight regression that has been evident of late.

Since he posted 18 points Feb. 20 against the Los Angeles Clippers, Green has devolved into a seldom-used supplementary scoring option and hasn't resembled the same player who torched the Western Conference en route to nabbing All-Star honors.

SAS say it was all because Kerr was critical of Draymon's play during the first half in OKC.

And this is how you react to Steve Kerr? :patrice:

And this is the team that's supposed to repeat? :patrice:

A max player can't keep his cool during a regular season game on the road?:dame:

The truth of the matter is Steph isn't going to be able to keep hitting 37 foot game winners throughout the course of a 7 game series :mjlol:

It's a wrap for them nikkas.. :jawalrus:

And I highly doubt they hit that 72 win game mark:francis:

He's overrated simple as that

Steve Kerr got punched by Michael Jordan and kept playing for a team that won multiple championships. He knows how to deal with this situation. :mjpls:

how come people no longer acknowledge the fact that kerr punched jordan back?

Draymond's erratic behavior and complaining about every call is nothing short of repulsive. His antics are one of the few things I detest about watching an otherwise amazing team play basketball. His ego definitely needs to be deflated and people making light of this are only doing so because GSW are playing well.

How is a reporter, reporting on what she heard, a lack of integrity and professionalism? That's pretty much her job

Lisa Salters is a sideline reporter! And just in case you don't know what a sideline reporters job is:

"A sideline reporter is a professional journalist who assists a sports broadcasting crew with sideline coverage of the playing field or court. The sideline reporter typically makes live updates on injuries or conducts player interviews while players are on the field or court because the play-by-play broadcaster and color commentator must remain in their broadcast booth."

Again, Lisa Salters publicly broadcasting personal, private details which she personally overheard during halftime that should be strictly confidential based on a teams closed locker room environment is shady, amateurish journalism.

My theory on this is that Dray feels overlooked on the team and that's why we've been seeing him increasingly frustrated. If Draymond feels overlooked he needs to take and make more shots. Simple as that. I just honestly think he feels he deserves more praise for his role on the team but you can only get so much praise for doing the "dirty work". These are the things I've seen from Draymond lately:

Breh will be left WIDE OPEN at the 3pt line and still won't take the shot :upsetfavre:
Breh barrelling into the lane trying to take it up on bigger players and then getting mad the refs didn't bail him out :stopitslime:
Breh being guarded by smaller players in the post and not even looking to take advantage :mindblown:
Breh committing obvious fouls and then going after the refs :why:

I think he needs to focus on scoring a bit more and do a bit less of the dirty work.

Didn't Draymond apologize earlier this year for trying to get a triple double instead of winning the game :jbhmm:
