Basically this. It's obvious he has some resentment towards ASAP and New NY rappers and "weirdo" rappers like Joey, older dudes like Digable Planets etc for some reason.

The sad part is that ASAP members help and promote a lot of artists.. including new NY rappers.. They back all that shyt, old sounding & new sounding. they like that grimmy sounding shyt, too. I remember when Twelvy was posting Lito songs and hyping up Lito on Twitter.

Artists I've gotten into through ASAP: Yung Gleesh, Uzi, Carti, Sha Hef, Retch, Dash, Joey Fatts. Dudes from all over, with different styles. Most being from the tri-state. these dudes have different styles from one another. Some are more southern sounding, some are more traditionally NY grimmy.

So I really don't get what his what seems like more than just competitive shots and like a legit personal issue is with them beyond rap.. They're not stopping him from eating and getting himself to that next level. Or being able to tour around the world, grow a larger following etc.

Edit: Troy Ave actually has a song with Ferg brother.. I wonder if the reason he's gone at them so hard is cause they've never promoted his shyt

Troy Ave problem is that he is not good enough at his own style. If he had the charisma of Jay or big he could stand because nobody is Reppin that right now...some say oh well it's the style that has gone away, people want new shyt or the new wave...but really it's just charisma and the type shyt u on...Fab still at it, if Jay came out right now the right way everyone would check for it...pro era, asap, flat bush etc. they are leading in that region because of the charisma they bring...Troy ave has a lane...he just isn't that good in itcausing him to lash out at those who are good in theirs. Sad shyt
