Having 12 miscellaneous g's (really 12 to 25 or even more way more depending the area) to put to taxes aint a given for anyone, especially a worker .

The average household makes over 50K a year, average rent in the country is 14,400 a year. If you use your work income to pay your property tax, and for the mortgage use the money you make to rent out your house, and you're fine. I don't see the issue.

Now if you own the home, rent out an upstairs or downstairs, and aren't working and bringing in additional income, it will be a struggle. But if y'all are both working, or you got at least one person in the house bringing in median income, you'll be good. If you make good money, you can save for another down payment, buy your own crib to live in, and rent out the upstairs and downstairs of your other home.

Thats sounds a whole lot better than what troy ave said (i get its a rough ig post etc etc)....now, would i be wrong to consider 300k pretty much the basement of real estate in nyc? Renting shyt out aint some glamorous guaranteed process...especially mid to low income...they liable to tear ya shyt up n not pay you take you to court for whatever ...thats JUST THAT...wheres the math for that?
