Do they 'exist' beyond the parameters of the culture that sets/enforces them? Nope. But you wanna be in the streets you're subject to the social constructs that come with it. Some laws/rules are arbitrary, some are unjust and some people bend/break said laws.

I get that, but even the biggest notorious gangsters snitch in the end. Frank Lucas, Jimmy Henchman come to mind. But the street shyt is all an act until shyt gets thick. There's some dudes doing 25 to life for not snitching, but that don't mean nothing in the long run.
