McPhatter had a pending attempted murder charge from a fight that broke out a bar in Manhattan in November 2015, reports DNA Info.
The incident occurred at midtown bar Pergola. McPhatter shot at a Queens man, Charles Dunwoody, 37. DNA Info says that McPhatter was later charged with felonious assault while the New York Daily News reports that those charges were upgraded to attempted murder. Dunwoody was accused of firing back at McPhatter and another man, 33-year-old Gadell Gibbs.
CBS New York reported at the time that 21-year-old woman was winged by a stray bullet during the shooting.

I hear you, but the letter was unprofessional coming from a lawyer, especially someone like K.M. who has worked for and with the DA's office. It just didn't seem like something a lawyer would write. Banga's birth name would be used and the incidents he casually dropped would have been cited. But then again I really don't know what this letter was for or who it was addressed to - I'd imagine this was supposed to be a rebuttal or response to the prosecutor's pre-trial detention memo that breaks down why Taxstone shouldn't be bailed . One of my childhood friends is a criminal defense lawyer who represents clients facing federal charges (RICO cases, stuff like that) and he would have stretched this memo out with a lot more detail and better grammar...and he doesn't have half of the reputation or track record that K.M. has . I just have a hard time believing that K.M. wrote this. I don't know who did, but it looks fugazi
