Can't imagine myself as a middle aged man with gradually growing health issues associated with being older, and still have to be in the streets every fukking night like a 22 year old "hustlin" and getting into drama. Like I said, prior to the 80s, middle aged men acted grown and left that street shyt behind after a certain age, out of shame and out of lack of respect from their older peers.

Nowadays, with no shame, and no real OGs to tell him to calm down, now you get grey-haired goons still acting wild immature and dressing mad kiddish to appeal to broads and clout demons.

It's very ironic how Cultural Anthropologists never touched on The Black Community in the Crack Era and how it changed our values fundamentally. We have numerous books and studies on black folks from slavery, Jim Crow, Civil Rights, and Black Power movements, but not a single one on The Crack Era. If anyone was serious enough and got down to the knitty gritty, It could answer why a lot of jailbirds feel the need to still be the HNIC at older stages of life and how its hard to let go and grow old with dignity

What was the goal and intentions of folks who were in the game during the crack era ? It wasn’t to build the community, it was about as you mentioned being THE HNIC. Economical power, paying your “TAXES” allows your community to controls rules, laws and legislations.
