I've never even listened to Troy Ave's music outside of couple songs... but why are people here acting like Joey Badass is somehow a great lyricist or something? dude is one of the few younger rappers who doesn't rap over garbage repetitive trap beats and is not yelling on records and ppl immediately act like he's a dope lyricist, when he has only showcased that a handful of times. Ebro is the worst. Troy does work hard but hasn't built a damn thing. He sold 7,000 but gets mainstream support and has hits . Ebro and Rosenberg are the only idiots supporting him. Troy doesn't even get consistent youtube views. This song only has 6,500 views on his Vevo and he only has 26,000 subscribers. Joey has 340,000 subscribers. No one is checking for Troy.

How is he going to ignore the fact that Joey was fresh outta high school and built his Pro Era brand independently, toured the world, sells a ton of merch, and sold 100-200,000 albums. Ebro hates that the young NYC artists are eating well without coming to him as the gatekeeper of hip hop. They don't give a fukk about Hot 97. He fukks with Troy because he's still relying on that dated "radio to stardom" model while the youngsters are building a fan base off of the internet.
