Nah I'm from Brooklyn. Not Gentrified Brooklyn, real Albee Square Mall, Empire Skating Rink, can't go everywhere Brooklyn. And as such I have morals and values.

Ive known Ave, Hovain etc., I could say I don't like that nikka. Not oh I heard him on the Breakfast Club... Nah I could really say I don't like the nikka. Funny thing is I don't feel no way about them nikkas. Personally I just don't feel no way cause I'm confident in my own manhood.

An emcee is always gonna want the respect of his environment he grew up in. Ave has that respect. I don't think he wants to play Coachella, I think he's fine at Summerjam. I think his point is Ave was cool with Lighty, because Lighty helped him in his career, but he never said suicide was some sucka shyt when Chris killed himself. But conveniently it is now.

bro i feel what you saying, people can be from the hood but not be involved in that bullshyt. i go through a similar thing, i know street nikkas, there are hood nikkas in my family and i live in what apparently people in my town would consider the hood(use to be more dangerous back then) but i don't act like that. that's why i might relate to Joey, or a Kendrick or a Cole because they come struggle and have a story similar to mine.
