I know a lot of you all are fans of the wire on here so i figure that you all can appreciate this video. I recently asked someone from my old neighborhood to tell their story on camera and they offered to have the person you are about to see tell her story as well because she just came home from Prison.

I know for a fact that she has been in the streets from day 1 and that she gets BUSY. She also rhymes, and if you listen to the interview you will be able to hear her music.

Anyways, this idea of interviewing people in town is something I'm going full steam ahead with. Let me know what you think and what you feel i should work on to create a better product.

What should I tell her to do with them?

I see potential there.

I would tell that other Nikka to shut up, and have her in the center of the frame.

Show backdrops of the institutions and corners that she spoke about during the interview. I have to use my imagination a little to much to feel her story. Add more of those visuals and it is easier for us to be in her shoes.

Encourage her to speak more about the repercussions and pain that she felt from her actions. It was almost like she was telling her story in 3rd person. Otherwise good work OP!

* Maybe have her read some potent passages from her book(s) at the beginning or end of the interview when she is describing situations.

no offense OP, its cool that you trying to make documentaries n shyt. im not gonna knock your hustle, but im sure you could find better people to interview than the "realest bytch in baltimore" wtf does that even mean. bytch sounds prideful as hell about being a drug dealer, thief and ex con.

Lol Bink my man. See he's a og for real in these streets and I wanted him to tell his story too. Problem is Bink know what's it for and kinda got intentions when he was speaking and it kept it from being raw, u feel me. Kane ain't have no intentions tho and she just got out so she want to talk. Bink started throwing her tho so when she was bout to get loose he would in, then again I don't know. See they know each other so well they just be flowing (u can pick it up if u watch vid closesly) and Bink might have been steering her, I don't know.

Thing is tho, these people is really in these streets so it's only so much she can say, u know?

I used to look up to him when I was younger now yo can't even move half his body.

Maybe You should make it a little longer and get seperate perspectives from the 2... I get what you are saying, I wanted to appreciate her story and rock with it. but it was kind like watching 2 emcees fight for a mic and neither one of them gets a full 16 off.

Got the same story of how many charges they beat, how much dope they sold, how much nikkas they robbed, who they used to sell packs for, but at the present moment doing nothing broke and bummy......All I'm going to say about this musty dyke is it's not an accident stop snitching was invented in Baltimore.
