People always rave about DMX and how he managed to drop two bangers in one year (Flesh of my flesh is subpar to me but nonetheless)

BUt what about MAster P. For this nikka to drop Tru 2 da Game, a double LP ANNNND Ghetto D with 6 months between them is even more remarkable. Damn near every track on both album goes in .

But this is about the double. Classic from front to back.

All great albums. I never really messed with mr.serv on albums tho. Dude was always rappin off beat. But that TRU tru 2 da game is classic. "Candy" "pop goes my 9" "feds" "swamp nygga" stayed on repeat

I feel u it's like he had the same affliction that plague Silkk but it's funny just like silkk they were beastin on their 1st album but the 2nd it's like they forgot how the hell to stay on beat (granted CI2DG was ill it's not touching the shocker)

As far as Tru 2 Da Game..................No Words imo one of the top double discs in hip-hop not top 3 but its in the top 5

The TRU CD before that, with the white cover, was raw too. It had a different sound too, a westcoast/downsouth vibe.

I own it and like it but it loses points for how many styles/artists they were biting in my book.

whaaaaaaaaaaattttt when I went back home to Atl in late '96 all my folks was playin was Atlien, It Was Written, Makaveli, Ice Cream Man, and The Shocker. that Shocker album rock and CID2G wasn't that bad either. Yeah no matter how much you hate on P you have to admit they had their run late '96 - early '99. I think if he wasn't selfish and worked out his issue wit BBTP instead of dropping them they could have gave Cash Money a nice run in '99 or at least a nice little comp. Remember they released that down for my niggs well after BBTP left and that was the last hit No Limit had. From an old article i read with KLC he said all they wanted was for P to man up and apologize for whatever their issue was and they would've stayed
