Nope, his music was the same... The Massacre just had too many tracks and that lowered the quality of the album imo.

he wasn't as vicious after 2004 as far as his lyrics and flow go

music wise, the huge decline began after Curtis

He never fell off to me.

Get Rich or Die Tryin is overrated

The quality of his music never changed, the only thing that changed is people got tired of him.
Basically this.

He did have that one major style switch up from power of the dollar to his post getting shot style. Basically just a voice change and slightly dumbing down his lyrics.

But his style and arguably even his overall quality of work stayed sort of consistent.

He just overexposed himself and was also not very versatile in subject matter. All of that and just changing of the times and culture made people want to hear other stuff besides tough guy raps.

Edit: He also backed himself into a corner by talking about how important album sales were to the value of one’s art. The industry shifted, and all sales dropped, including his...

Edit 2: Massacre is not that bad. Just waaaay too long. No 50 album should be 22 songs. Massacre is 50’s Blueprint 2 in a way. Cut off the worst half and you’ve got a dope little 10-11 track album.

take the pop songs and gatman & robin off of the massacre and u got a dope 17 track album on par with GRODT dont @ me

GRODT soundtrack is prolly the most underappreciated and unmentioned part of his whole discog
GRODT soundtrack was definitely solid. In hindsight to me it marked the end of the 50 and g-unit era. It was the last best project they made, it was half a 50 solo album, and it was the last time it seems like everyone really cared about their music. After that giant world tour and soundtrack it was the Curtis vs Graduation thing, etc.

Get Rich or Die Tryin is overrated
I need you to explain yourself.

How is something overrated if the average person went out in droves over months to support this aggressive content.

Something that's overrated is a flash in the pan not last for the next 16 years with people still discussing it.

Even 50's own enemies say it's a classic. If Ja Fool can do interviews and say this they what are you basing your opinion on?:rudy:
