Cam and mase were the closest we got to big L. They can rap at tiers most rappers can never hit there is no limit to how nice cam and made can get in the studio. They are goats… of Harlem.

Elite tier but wouldn’t go as far as GOAT

Cam has become underrated over the past few years with people trying to discredit him based off his style on Purple Haze.

If you know then you’d know hes had quite a few styles and is an elite rapper.
Purple Haze is my fave album from Cam, thought most people liked that album? I thought overall it was his best album.

False and I'm a big fan of cam always have been, there's been alot of revisionist history concerning him lately especially with the success of the show

Cam when he was active was never considered in the top 5 or 10 anywhere in the east coast matter fact he was considered a D list rapper along with the rest of dipset

I'm a big fan but he isn't up there with the big dogs. He's like Bernard Hopkins a great light heavy weight but could never be a heavyweight MC.

Top 20 if he didn’t start the bullshyt IMO. Confessions of Fire is so damn slept on it’s crazy. Play that shyt for someone who is a Cam fan sand never heard it, shyt is literally like listening to two totally different rappers

Rocafella cam was far from d list

Roc a Fella Cam and Dipset got crazy love in NY and UK from all recollections

And before anyone says it, yes even the Kidnap. They were fans of the set too. My older bro got a Purple Benz off the strength of Purple City let alone main Dipset :dead:

Purple Haze is my fave album from Cam, thought most people liked that album? I thought overall it was his best album.

Purple Haze is a classic but it’s a divisive album lowkey. It’s a hipster darling album but a lot of people use the rapping style on there to downplay Cam equally.

Nah. I kind of think he's at where he should be.
Cam is one of my favorites, but terrible beat selection, his albums never sounded fully mixed, and he never really had a solo album I would call "great".
I always figured he'd make it by as a personality above anything else-- even back then. I'm glad it's happened for him because in the 10's it felt like he got :flabbynsick: and didn't care about anything.

Ma$e on the other hand, I agree with others. I think he had enough tools at the time to be the complete package.
