Never understood the hype. Not that he can't rap because he obviously can. But I don't see why there's such a buzz and expectation around dude when we have nothing to indicate that he would be capable of making a great album yet.

It's not like he's doing anything new. There's a whole bunch of "knowledge droppin" lyrical 5%-type rappers who can spit hot verses but came and went without making great albums. I don't see how Jay Harmonica is any better than Killah Priest, for example.

Elec seems like he comes more from the Chuck D tree than Krs's, he doesn't perfectly compare to either but I think he's more Chuck, Chuck and Rakim mix.
