True or false. Prodigy was GOAT levels before the voice and energy change, pre HNIC.

'Do it' off HNIC was the first example of the more monotone delivery. It's zenith was Infamy and Da Bridge 2001off the Nas, Queensbridge compilation album. He shifted again for Amerikkaz Nightmare.

low key he damn near has a slightly different style on every project up until Amerikka's Nightmare and then it more or less stayed the same with some slight variations here or there.

His style on The Infamous and Hell is pretty different IMO. Obviously Juvenile Hell to Infamous was different. Murda Muzik/HNIC wasn't really like Hell or Infamous either. Infamy got more monotone. Etc. The funny thing is the Amerikka's Nightmare type style was the style he used for the most years.

On Albert Einstein he brought back a few elements of his Hell on Earth style, like starting the next bar off with the final word he used in the previous bar. He did that on Dough Pildin and a couple other songs. He also used some very pronounced and clear enunciation on Albert Einstein. On certain moments he almost sounds like a white dude on there, for lack of a better way to explain it.

Agree with all this.

Post Penitentiary P was a mixed bag, a lot of new rhyme patterns, double time, cadence etc. Some successful, some not so (at all). Tackling faster bpm and drum sequences is not easy fwiw, impressive in a way.

Haven’t went through the full thread but in general I may be one of the few that enjoy monotone P over earlier more energetic P. I listen to a lot of Prodigy still but most of it is Return of the Mac and after.

Did anyone go to a Mobb show in the 2010's where they performed Infamous and Hell On Earth joints? Did P sound like his old self when doing those joints?
Yeah rock the bells 2012 I think it was with Raekwon and ghost doing ob4cl and mobb did the infamous. Mobb was lit dj started that shyt off like “when I say mobb y’all say deep! Mobb! Deep! Mobb! Deep!” And then boom survival of the fittest starts and P comes out lookin fresh out of jail wit a sleeveless hooody and starts killin shyt. Sounded young and enthusiastic. Whole show was fire.

Yep. I saw them 2x in the 2010s. Once for Rock the Bells around 2012 and again a year later leading up to the Albert Einstein drop. P sounded exactly the same doing old Infamous and Hell joints. They did most of the Infamous album actually the first time I saw them. Noyd was at the first show and did some hype man work but at the 2nd show I saw it was just Hav and P.
