Premise is wrong because for all you wrote you are operating under the assumption of the existence of only one type of "humour" or one type of "funny" and all people subscribe to said definitions of humour/funny

They're easier, if youre also smart and knowledgeable yourself..they can identity far wider environmental and social situational irregularities and irony better..you have to dumb down to make a dummy laugh and that's not easy.

You actually need social intelligence to understand humor,
If you going around thinking nothing is funny, it more likely speaks to a lack of intelligence or disability than the other way around.

There are people who walk around thinking that an over abundance of "maturity" is a positive trait. And they display this by trying to be serious at all times

Maturity isn't just taking yourself serious, its having the wisdom to understand and appreciate differing perspectives. Thats the difference between intelligence and what i call "performative maturity."
