You can teach your kids about Black history at home, you and your family/friends can create your own lesson plans to discuss different things as your children age, and —this is key— your church, mosque, and or any other religious/social group or institutions can host Black history programs for kids up until HS.

This. When I was in school, only black history that was taught was Lincoln freed the slaves, MLK, and the Civil Rights Movement. My stepdad along with pretty much his whole family are NOI so I was taught a lot of stuff that I didn't learn about in school. I learned about Nat Turner, Marcus Garvey, the Black Panthers, Deacons of Defense, Malcolm X, Elijah Muhammad, Black Wall Street, etc outside of school. It should be a lot easier for parents to teach black history with easier access to the internet compared to decades ago.

Yall are probably exaggerating a bit with some of these predictions. While I do think some things will get worse, it’s not going to be the apocalyptic scenario that yall are describing

Trump is ego driven first and foremost. He’s not gonna do shyt that will turn the public against him or cause a civil war. He wants to have a favorable legacy as a president, it’s literally all he talks about. I doubt he wants to go down as the president that destroyed the country or sent us into the next Great Depression.

I think it’s going to be pretty similar to his first term outside of immigration and Ukraine aid. He’s gonna go hard on that.
