CHICAGO (WGN) – Just one day ago, President Donald Trump declared there’d be a surge in federal troops in Chicago, but on Wednesday evening, he walked that back.

“I want to go into Chicago and we have this incompetent governor that doesn’t want us,” Trump said. “So we’re making the determination now. Do we go to Chicago or do we go to a place like New Orleans where we have a great governor who wants us to come in?”
