Again, the best way to win right now is to focus on strong families and strong communities. Africans, Asians, and Indians (yes, I know, Asians) get it.
Mormons get it, many Jews and Catholics get it. That's why all of these groups dominate law, finance, tech, business, etc.

I don't believe 5k is enough but it's moving the conversation, of incentivizing family and education, forward in a way that we haven't seen in a while. Not sure I understand your argument.

I make 170-180k a year. My wife makes 80-90k a year. We have a 3 year old and our yearly daycare service is actually a bargain at around 25k a year
We will not be having any more kids. Can’t afford it while also still trying to find a house in this market. I have no idea how people do it with more 2-3 kids, let alone people who make considerably less than we do

This is tone deaf. It would make more sense to bring back public daycare and give that money to families so they can put it towards a down payment on a house. those are the main reasons people aren't having children
