This is my worst fear. Clearly, Trump will need a new VP and I'm sure DeSantis would back down for 4 years and let Trump serve up the white house to him. He'll be all of 50 in 2028. They'd own the White House for 12 years, and the judges appointed would run the courts until all of us are atleast 75 years old.

Gavin Newsom is a better candidate I thought and potentially could win against either individually, but Trump/DeSantis kinda cancel out the worse parts of each other that make them individually unelectable.

Damn near half the voting electorate wants Trumpism, just the more rational of the bunch want it without Trump, and probably could stomach another Trump admin if DeSantis is next in line.
