I think that's why the article bought that fact up, he's blindly firing anyone associated with his investigations even if those people didn't support the investigation. an agent can't determine what case they get put on
also fwiw it's worth Trump has fired plenty of people who he himself hand picked, including the former FBI director Wray...who Trump originally hired in his last term
