Yeah what exactly is the guarantee solar panels will be bought at the same amount without cheaper ones on the market?
solar panels are optional. If they can`t compete on price ppl just won`t buy them. there has to be some incentive for ppl to want to go out and buy them.

There are two different types of ppl that buy solar panels.
those that want to try and save money on their power bills
and those that want to go green and reduce emissions.

Speaking on the latter....purchasing panels shipped from china, built in low controlled emissions factories doesn`t reduce emissions at all and just makes them higher. (why doesn't China have to comply with the Paris Accord?)

secondly,
how can the same ppl say that Americans need a livable wage, and that the min wage should be boosted to $15 dollars so ppl can live, but be completely satisfied about outsourcing jobs and trying to get the cheapest products from China?

you can't have it both ways.

Awesome.

Higher prices and less choices for American consumers.

He's doing the same thing by levying additional tariffs on South Korean washing machines to aid Whirlpool.

Where are all the Ayn Rand enthusiasts to protect the Free Market when you need them???

I may switch to seeking out and exclusively buying foreign-made products as a form of protest (and likely get better products as well).

thats all i needed to know about you.
no need for me to address you any further.
The smiley kinda means what I was saying was a joke , I was pointing out the fact people are calling me a Trump supporter because I support American business :francis:

Lost my first job because Obama imposed crazy tarriffs on tires and rubber from non-US companies. I worked for a tire distributor that entered the market with cheap tires. Honestly this won't increase production, it will just push the price up.
I’m sorry to hear that .

When America slaps tarrffs on shyt , it should mean more American workers getting more jobs, higher wages, generating more taxes. It should not mean layoffs or robots . This is what we have to push on politicians. This is why AVERAGE people in communities should get lobbyist .

The average person can’t afford solar panels .

This is why you manufacture the panels in America ,with American workers, transported by American trucks, driven by American truck drivers, on American OWENED tolls roads, installed by Americans, using American tools ,while paying them all a more than liveable wage .

This is simple math :francis:

do you believe the Government should be responsible for raising the min wage ? or the "free market"?

Both should work in concert.
In a perfect world the free market would create jobs with sustainable wages. However in this greedy ass society we live in it is impossible, which is why government needs to step in and make some regulations.
Tariffs are just part of that positioning.

I am NOT on the side of big business, I am on the side of the workers. But we can't play this game that the government shouldn't be involved in some things then complain when government is involved in other things. ESPECIALLY in contradicting ways.

I hope this is the fall of Brightsource energy. Native California Indians Americans hate it. It's killing birds and desert tortoise. Plus the solar panels look ugly near California Border. It was a terrible deal by Obama that it's expensive.

What will these tariffs specifically do to increase the minimum wage?

Why not couple said tariffs with required minimum wage increases for all workers within industries that stand to benefit?

All these tariffs do is increase prices on imports thus decreasing choice and competition whilst increasing costs to the US consumer. Sad.

Trump is artificially pumping up the coal sector.....if you haven't noticed by now Trump is using the government to artificially affect the market in order to win support and make it seem like he's making progress. That is why I haven't jump back into the market, it is too high off of speculation

Was listening to a wsj podcast. Trump's protectionism is weird because the people who speak out are those with jobs and lobbyists v the people who are really hurting are those who are working or who are lacking Representatives

Stopping China wouldn’t do a thing for wages in America. The whole idea behind corporations is reducing cost. They’ll ship the production to 5 other underdeveloped countries and keep going.
