This is what we were talking about years ago. It was obvious what the plan was, they simply didn't have enough legal fukkery to make it happen. You overturn state elections, declare Trump the winner, and enact the Insurrect Act when riots start. Followed by republican politicians demanding democrats stop committing violence for the good of the country. Similar to the shakedown Gore faced where he could have declared the election illegitimate but instead stood down.

There was no support for this on the Supreme Court outside of Thomas. Which tells me the next step is to add more Thomas types to the court. And the next time they try this the goal will be to have a more favorable court and a smarter republican president.
