Win the senate or POTUS and these arent issues.
They didn't have a majority. No republican was going to help get Garland thru. McConnell waited till Trump was elected to change the rules to a simple majority getting judgea thru. Obeezy needed 60 damn votes .
Harry Reid changed the rules to 51 votes for federal judges back in 2013-14. That should have been the time to nuke the filibuster for SCOTUS and push Ginsberg out. There was faint talk about it even back then and they should have done it.
Losing the Senate was why they couldn't replace Scalia.
If Dems won TX, FL, MO, and ND in the last election, they would have stopped Trump's packing of the judiciary and have control over SCOTUS right now.

I will say this, Trump will get another pick, the Faustian deal will be , if he puts up someone who is so openly against abortion, that trumps any rhetoric he spews but don’t seem like they are possible, and he will lose white women, therefore losing in 2020, and it won’t matter who the Dems put up. Roe v Wade is a presidential election decider, as well as Senate deciders. Dems take the Pres, and most likely senate majority, but these fukkheads are on the SC forever. The dem POTUS will have to add seats, no question about it, if this happens, they need to campaign on it, and fight off all the conservative creeps.
