It's very easy for anyone to understand why Ukraine joining NATO is "bad for business" in the eyes of Putin. Ukraine is acting in their best interest and so is Russia.
What I struggle with is how that suddenly became a violent invasion and how it's not only being handwaved away by the current admin, but actually flipped into Zelensky being the one who started it AND the dictator

That said, we're also talking about a country that nuked Japan, twice (seemed like a bit of an overreaction). Started a long ass war over completely false (and proven to be false) pretenses. Destabilized countless small governments and most recently funded a genocidal landgrab...

Still a minority. Also Eastern European nazism is a different flavor. It’s not the same as hard as that is to understand. German nazism was primarily about ethnic purity and a racial struggle. Eastern European nazism is more like a mix of costume dress up and nationalism.

Ukrainian national identity is a lot stronger than the made up identities of a lot of Arab countries . Remember Ukrainian nationalism dates back to the 1800’s. Arab nationalism is a lot newer and less organic. Most Arabs identify with their tribe or religion first before country.

So was that an example of that different Nazism you are talking about? If so, how do you think it appears to the Africans who were treated that way? I know from my perspective, I would not be able to tell the difference. Mistreated because of race seems the same, no matter how you try to wrap it up.
