It was pretty clear during that infamous rally where musk was jumping on stage that trump really wanted nothing to do with him. DOGE is unpopular, the mass firings are a black eye to his administration now, and musk is very very very unlikable.

For the people saying that he got what he wanted, I dont see how this is a net positive for him because he lost more money than he made, devalued his companies stocks, and ended up costing the government more money than he saved it. He even had to lie and make up reciepts to make DOGE look better than it actually was. He has no political future whatsoever, and his businesses are ruined.
